Canon Powershot A530 Review
The Canon Powershot A530 Review - Canon's affordable, high-quality 5.0-megapixel digital camera. Fast, powerful, and very compact, the A530 delivers beautiful images and high performance. Best of all, this camera retains all the easy-to-use accessibility that made the PowerShot A Series so very popular.
Canon has made an affordable, high-quality 5.0 MP, 4x optical, widescreen capable digital camera a reality with the PowerShot A530.
The A530 delivers beautiful images and high performance with its DIGIC II Image Processor.
Best of all, it retains all the easy-to-use accessibility that has made the PowerShot A Series so very popular.
Auto and Manual Exposure/White Balance settings, an ISO range of 80-800 for shooting high-quality images in a variety of lighting situations are just two of the surprising features Canon has retained in this digital compact.
The new ISO 800 setting means you have reduced camera shake when taking in low light conditions, a very useful feature! You can even take pictures in the Widescreen resolution option and then view them full screen on your widescreen TV or computer monitor!
There's also a built-in flash unit with Red-Eye Reduction, 16 shooting modes, 8 photo effects, a self-timer, continuous shooting ability, and a SD/MMC card slot!
A 16MB MMC Card is included, however we suggest purchasing a larger capacity memory card for ease and convenience of a larger storage ability. It will allow you to store a lot more video and images, as well as take advantage of the camera's high Resolution abilities.
Canon had made it easy to print directly to any Pict-Bridge compatible printer via included USB without a computer! The Canon Powershot A530 is powered by 2 AA Alkaline or Rechargeable Ni-MH Batteries for on the go freedom!
Again we found that purchasing a better, higher power rechargeable batteries allowed us to take approximately 4 times as many still pictures when compared to alkaline batteries.
The Canon PowerShot A530 boasts Canon's new 'iSAPS' Technology, which is an entirely original scene-recognition technology developed for Canon cameras. Using an internal database of thousands of different photos, iSAPS works with the fast DIGIC II Image Processor to improve focus speed & accuracy, as well as exposure and white balance.
The Canon PowerShot A530 enables you to record VGA (640 x 480) at 10 frames per second or QVGA (320 x 240) movies at 20 fps with sound. Also, with Compact Movie Mode, you can shoot QQVGA (160 x 120) at 15 fps. Now digital zoom is available when you are recording a movie.
With an additional 17 shooting modes, including the settings in Special Scene mode, you can produce breathtaking images in all conditions.
