The
Fuji FinePix E500 Zoom compact digital camera has 4.1 Mega-pixel sensor
and is the first camera in Fuji's new E-series range for digital
photography. It sports a stylish silver aesthetic body and an easy to
use function menu. Find out more.
The Fuji
FinePix E500 utilizes 4.1
Mega Pixels to deliver vividly sharp, high detail images.
The E500 also
boasts Fujifilm's state of the art digital image processing technology,
in the shape of an upgraded image processor.
This system claims to
deliver life like color reproduction and smoother image tones by
accurately analyzing the lighting conditions and the color tonality of
the photographic subject.
The E-series
range of cameras is designed for the more serious and further advanced
user than the A-series range. E-series cameras are virtually the same
dimensions as the A-series, but are slightly heavier in
comparison.
More noticeably, the E500
has an ergonomic grip
making it easier to support and handle. Two AA alkaline or NiMH
rechargeable batteries power the cameras; consumers can expect best
possible battery life with rechargeable batteries, while alkaline
batteries provide operational flexibility.
The wide variety of flash
modes, WB settings and a useful macro-mode add to the already
impressive list of E500 features.
A 2.0 inch
LCD allows the user to view all the settings easily
while framing and composing your images. The ergonomic hand grip
and stylish body of the FinePix E500 Zoom has been designed with the
photographer who may find smaller cameras more difficult to handle, in
mind.
Fujifilm's optional CP-FXA10
Picture Cradle can be used with the FinePix E510 and E500 for rapid
recharging, as well as for fast image downloading.
The Fuji Finepix
E500 model captures images in 'point and shoot' mode, as well as
allowing manual, programmed, shutter priority AE, macro and ultra macro
modes.
It also includes several scene modes of landscape, sports,
portrait, and night mode, which we found to be an added bonus!
However,
on the downside, the E500 will only record movies at 10 frames
per second, so you'll need to look to the E550 for something more
suitable if this is an important feature to you.
All
in all, a fairly impressive product at a more than fair price for the
quality and features it comes with. This model isn't the best compact
digital we've reviewed, but it would make a decent starter model for
beginners.
