The 2.7-inch screen found on the back of the camera coupled with familiar controls represents the point-and-shoot component so beginner photographers shouldn't have a hard time using the unit. The main feature of the Fujifilm
Finepix S1000FD is the Fujinon 12x optical zoom lens which is built
into the camera to eliminate situations where dust can get into the
camera during a lens interchange.It ranges at 33-396mm which is decent for regular photographers and amateurs to get good close-up shots without sacrificing quality. High quality photos can be taken at 10 megapixels with a high maximum sensitivity of ISO1600. If set to 3 megapixels, the ISO3200 can be utilized. Combined with the Real Photo Technology, popular Fujifilm technologies such as Face Detection and the Real Photo Processor work together with the Fujinon lens to deliver natural results in different scenes. The Face Detection feature uses movement tracking to keep the subjects in focus and can track up to 6 faces. Red eye problems are automatically corrected so that they never appear on the final output. It also eliminates blur caused by sudden movements and hand-shakes no matter what blur settings are used. The Fujifilm S1000FD offers several shooting modes for different scenes
so quality is maximized and the full manual control brings more

Although the Fujinon 12x optical zoom lens gives the Fujifilm S1000FD a nice boost over most of the point-and-shoot cameras, no mechanical or optical image stabilization is available so some professional photographers may need to resort to larger models.
