Nikon Coolpix P5000 Review
The Nikon Coolpix P5000 delivers the kind of advanced functions, ease of operation and outstanding image quality that enables you to capture images precisely as you intended, with a remarkable 10 megapixels of resolution and a Vibration Reduction Image Stabilization system in tow!
From March 2007, Nikon are more than excited to introduce their latest digital compact, the Nikon Coolpix P5000. It's Nikons latest addition to the Coolpix Performance Series of digital cameras currently on the market. Nikon claim the new Coolpix P5000 offers advanced functions, ease of operation, and greater image quality that is sure to satisfy photo enthusiasts throughout.
The Coolpix P5000 incorporates a new advanced image processing engine, which optimizes low light performance and color reproduction, in addition to Nikon’s optical VR image stabilization, which compensates for camera shake. Many of todays models boast an image stabilizer of some description, but believe us that they don't all do the job as expected! No complaints on this models feature though, and it also tested well in our 'dusk and dawn' difficult lighting tests.
It also arives on the shelves boasting 10.0 megapixel resolution, sky-high ISO sensitivity and lens-shift Vibration Reduction, with which the Coolpix P5000 captures razor sharp, noise-free shots, even in low light conditions. With a versatile 3.5x zoom plus a lens adapter ring which gives you access to additional telephoto, wideangle and fisheye lenses.
This incredibly compact camera is more than a match for most shooting situations. "The Coolpix P5000 was designed for the photographer who enjoys a high level of control, advanced imaging technologies and the ability to take creative control of their photography. The P5000 will be compatible with system-expanding accessories that will allow you to take your creativity and images to new heights." - Bill Giordano, General Manager Marketing, COOLPIX for Nikon Inc.
