Nikon cameras
have been favorites for many years and for good reason,
here is an optical company that has been around since 1917! Formed from
the merging of three independent optical companies Nikon has been
creating quality opticals for 92 years.
We have reviewed the Nikon D3 D-SLR camera. See below our findings!
The Nikon
D3
digital camera is a fine example of all the companies' years of
experience.
Released in 2007 this camera quickly made a name for itself.

Pros
This camera was designed for taking live action shots,
with sports and photojournalists
first in mind. The Nikon D3 is the company's first offering in the
arena of full frame technology. Professionals agree that this is the
most advanced Nikon camera to date.
You can shoot images 12.1 megapixels at a
lightning 9 frames per second and never
lose a bit of detail. If you do not mind, going down a bit in
megapixels you can get an amazing 11 frames per second
at 5 megapixels. Overall, fast maybe the main key phrase
used when talking about this camera.
The days of wondering if you got the perfect shot are over and the Nikon
D3 does this in
style as well with its 3 inch super density display that is actually a 920,000
dot VGA color monitor and do not forget the impressive 170
degree viewing angle. No more tipping and
tilting your camera to bring the screen into focus.
Design is one area that you do not think is quite as important in a
digital camera. So what if it is a bit unwieldy as long as it takes
great shots, right? Well that depends on how often you are going to be
using the device! If you make your living shooting photography and are
seldom without your camera, you will appreciate the rubber
grip and magnesium body.
This is a solid built camera no matter how you look at it.
Cons
There is nothing cheap about the Nikon D3 camera and that includes the
price tag! When this camera first came out some were selling for nearly
$7k. Today that has come down to around $5k but it is
still very expensive. To top it off the company released the D700,
which is not quite as sophisticated as the Nikon D3, but it is also
thousands cheaper.
Finally
The pictures taken with the Nikon D3 will be out of this world,
especially with all the picture controls
you have to work with.
Not one customer has complained about the reliability and quality of this camera.
Of course, if you are a point and shoot user simply taking a few family photos every now and
again this is probably not the camera for you.
