The Pentax w60 is a 10-mega pixel cameras that has enough details to capture photos that are best enlarged up to 18 x 24 inches. Anything above that might just lose its sharpness. This means that your camera can sit out in temperatures that get to sub-zero and your camera will still be able to work just fine. When it is in water though, it can only remain for up to two hours. The 5x optical zoom and the 2.5-inch viewing LCD screen is perfect for most kinds of picture taking. There is also a movie feature on the Pentax w60, which comes in at 720p. You can purchase a SD memory card for the storage of extra photos that you will not want stored on the camera itself. Without the SD card, the camera itself has 36.4 MB of memory that is already built in. This is a light camera, weighing in at only 5.1 ounces and it is 3.9 x 2.2 x 1 inches in its dimensions. There are also many different modes within the camera that you might find to come in handy at some point in time. There are the smile capture mode, the face recognition mode, blink detection mode, underwater movie and auto picture modes.
