With the camera companies releasing new and better features on their compact digital cameras, Sony is no exception.
The release of the Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 is Sony's answer to the rest of the camera companies new releases.
The newest features include a 20x lens that extends to 28mm on the wide end. The telephoto end will extend to 560mm.
Sony Cybershot DSC HX1 Camera Features
The HX1has a 3" LCD screen that tilts, HD video recording, special modes for shooting and continuous shooting of 10 frames a second.
Sony has been involved quite heavily in sensor design and the CMOS based HX1 is one of the results. The processing is speedier and relying on the physical shutter being exceptionally fast this creates three shooting modes that are unique to this camera.
Sweeping panorama allows the panoramas to be put together while you are shooting is one. Anti-motion reducing blur is accomplished by taking six images and putting them together to reduce the amount of blur the photo has.
The Twilight mode takes six images stacked for reduction of noise when photos are taken in less than optimal conditions such as low light.
One aspect of top features of this camera is the Sweep Panorama Mode. This allows for taking 154 degree vertical and 224 horizontal shots by using a pressing and sweeping motion.
The Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 is Sony's first camera to use ½ 4-inch senor technology from Exmor CMOS technology. This is what allows the 10 fps when using the 9.1 resolution.
The typical digital cameras use shutters that decrease the distortion often found when taking a photo that eliminate blurriness.
One of the best advantages this camera has over the camera with traditional sensors is the image. It is much clearer and the noise is reduced by approximately 50 percents. This camera is also the first in other ways. The camera has a 1080p HD recording capability for movie clips as well as a Sony G lens.
Sony Cybershot DSC HX1 Extra Features
According to Sony, by using the sensor and the Sony G lens with the BIONZ TM processor, the consumer is more able to produce better photos.
When using the Exmor CMOS sensor, the continuous shooting of full resolution imagery is possible using high speed. By using the panorama mode you do not have to guess where you end up in degree range.
The camera tells you and it allows you to capture the photos without a problem. Without the need for purchasing extra software, the camera can align the pictures for you.
The convenience of this camera is one of the aspects with features such as the Intelligent Scene Recognition mode that make it a good camera for taking scene shots.
The recognition works by changing settings as soon as it senses the changes in lighting.
Taking only about 1/30th of a second, the camera can then adjust to the situation.
This is beneficial for skin tones that have the natural hue, reducing the instance of red-eye and lessening blur while keeping the quality of the image.
Available for approximately $500, this is a good camera especially for shooting outdoor images.
